| This is a competency-based knowledge exam for nurse aides. This is a computerized exam and is offered as a remote testing option. This State of IA Nurse Aide knowledge exam meets OBRA and the Department of Inspections and Appeals and Licensing requirements for the Direct Care Worker registry. Participant much score a 70% or above to be considering passing. • Registration must include a valid SSN • Participant must have the ability to show a valid ID, when asked by the proctor • Participant must have a working cell phone with camera. The proctor uses this to monitor the screen while testing • Participant will scan the testing area with the device to ensure the area meets all requirements of testing per the proctor's directions • Participant must be visible on screen at all times • Participant must have a computer with a working camera and reliable internet • Participant must be alone in a quiet room free from distractions, noises, other people, animals, or any other type of audible or visual distraction • Participant may not take notes, use notes, textbook or any means to search or look up answers. The desk and testing area must be clear. • Participant will receive an email from TMU with instructions on completing profile information. The email address used, will come from the address given upon registration • Participant must be logged in on time. No late starts allowed. The test will be conducted live via ZOOM. The link will be sent by email. • If the Proctor finds any testing polices not upheld, or notes the evidence of testing fraud, the test will be reviewed, and the person may fail the exam for misconduct. |
