| The Nurse Aide State Skills Exam is the hands-on portion of the CNA State Exam process. The skills exam is designed to be a realistic nurse aide assignment and you will have 45 minutes to complete the scenario and personal cares and skills you have been assigned to demonstrate. A score of 70% or greater is required to be successful and to be eligible for the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry. Registry placement in Iowa, also requires a 70% or greater on the CNA State Knowledge Exam. (Both tests are required and taken separately) • Testers MUST arrive at the START time to be eligible to test. • Registration must include SSN. • Student may NOT use cell phone at the testing sight. • Student must bring a valid photo ID to testing. • Scrubs are not required but testers are evaluated on professional appearance. |
