| In this hands-on course you'll discover the basics of Structured Query Language (SQ), for interacting with relational databases. After an overview of relational databases, you'll learn about SQL Server and the main learning tool used for this course, SQL Server Management Studio. You'll learn to retrieve data from tables using simple queries, sort and filter results, and gather and combine data from multiple tables at once. Then, you'll use queries to summarize and order data, explore the rich array of data types supported by SQL and be introduced to the built-in T-SQL functions. Finally you'll use SQL queries to modify the database by inserting, updating, and deleting data, and understanding the best practices for database design. | |
