Description:
The Gas/Diesel Engine Mechanical Diagnosis & Measurement ILT covers various engine diagnostic and service procedures. Topics include the systematic diagnostic process, diagnostic tools and tests, diagnostic strategies, and diagnostics and repair. The engines included in this course are the 3.6L High Feature V-6 and the 6.2L Gen V gasoline engines. Also included are the 1.6L LH7, the 2.8L LWN, and the 6.6L LML diesel engines. Participants will assess their knowledge of gas/diesel engine mechanical diagnosis and measurement through 20 hands-on workstations throughout the course. Workstations include cylinder head removal and replacement, valve timing, injector and injector sleeve removal, active fuel management, bearing selection, aluminum thread repair, coolant leak and consumption, and cylinder measurement.
