| This is a noncredit certificate program that gives a foundational introduction to the role of a person serving in a patient services, patient scheduling and beginning billing role. This certificate course incorporates registration, scheduling of health services and will also include beginning coding and billing in a healthcare setting. Other areas of focus are: medical terminology, basic computer skills, insurance and billing, beginning medical coding, HIPAA, workplace expectations, communication skills, and general office values. Course Pre-requisites: Must be able to type 40 wpm, Complete the NorthStar Digital lit assessment (Word and Excel) with a minimum score of 75% Pass criminal background check and abuse registry check. | |
