This approved ANFP (Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals) prepares students for the National Certifying Board for Dietary Managers (CBDM®) Credentialing Exam. This complete program will enhance knowledge and skill sets to be a Dietary Manager responsible for the management of food operations in a dietary department. This includes the management of food service personnel, food/kitchen supplies and the routine nutritional aspects of food service. The Dietary Manager also works closely with a consultant dietitian. The Dietary Manager position assists in providing quality nutritional care services in areas such as: food service departments in hospitals, assisted living and healthcare facilities. After successful completion the student can register to take the CDM exam.    •  Each section of this course has a field experience required in addition to the online learning for each student to complete.
   •  Each student is responsible for finding and securing a qualified preceptor to document and guide the student. DMACC does NOT provide preceptors
   •  Once a preceptor has been secured, the student will complete a facility agreement and the Program Coordinator will approve and verify RD credentials.
   •  The Program Coordinator is available to answer questions about the Field Experiences
   •  Once the Field Experience is completed students will send the signed paperwork with preceptor signatures back to the Program Coordinator
   •  Required texts are purchased by the student and not included in the cost of the class. The ANFP books are listed below:
