| This course is for advanced ELL students (Level 4 or higher). The purpose of the course is to improve students' listening comprehension through the medium of American television. Most ESL listening exercises target ELL learners. Therefore, the speech is often slower and more measured than what students experience in everyday conversation. The target audience for American TV programs is, of course, native English-speakers. This real-life exposure to native speaking will challenge and improve the students' listening comprehension. | |
