| This is a one hour course covering topics on onsite wastewater. This course is approved by the DNR for TOT inspectors, IOWWA for CIOWTS, and IEHA for county sanitarians. Tank Buoyancy and Anti-Flotation Measures: This course looks the installation of septic, pump, or holding tanks and the risk of flotation due to the presence of groundwater above the bottom of the tank. The goal of this presentation is to prompt regulators, designers, and installers to think about the buoyancy of the installation of any tank by by evaluating buoyant force, engineering controls, and Archimedes' principle. | |
