Description:
This exciting, educational, hands-on, biotechnology CSI camp is filled with multiple exercises led by DMACC Criminal Justice and Biotechnology faculty. Experience crime scene investigation and forensic science while you learn the secrets of how CSIs uncover hidden evidence, careful observation and collection of evidence, and detection and interpretation of fingerprints. During this four day camp students will solve a fictitious crime, process crime scene evidence, use traditional fingerprinting methods, DNA fingerprinting, Gel electrophoresis, Polymerase chain reaction, and much more. Designed for students entering grades 6, 7, 8 or 9. Each student is asked to bring a sack lunch including beverage or money to purchase lunch from the DMACC Student Center. Snacks will be provided. DMACC Student Center includes: Leaning Tower of Pizza, Maid Rite, Subway and Cafe X.
