This noncredit certificate program will give an introduction to the role of Patient Access/Registration and coding and billing in a healthcare setting. Topics of discussion will include but are not limited to: medical terminology, basic computer skills, insurance and funding regulations, how to recognize and utilize medical coding, healthcare safety, HIPAA, workplace skills and proper communication.
